  1. Hi - so sorry to hear about the discomfort you've been feeling since starting Efudex. Unfortunately, we see this a lot in the community. Have you been able to check out our topical chemotherapy hub yet? There is a lot of great information there about how to relieve pain and discomfort caused by the treatment. Here's the link if you haven't read it already: https://skincancer.net/topical-chemotherapy-guide. How many more days do you have of treatment? Keep me posted on how you're doing! All the best, Alexa (SkinCancer.net moderator)

    1. My doctor has stopped the treatment because it was infected he said if I don't stop I could end up a drip

    2. Oh no! Well, I'm glad you were able to stop the treatment to avoid further infection. Did your doctor give you any next steps on how to treat the area? -Alexa (SkinCancer.net moderator)

  2. well he gave me antibiotics and I've got to put cream on it I'm using a Diprobase cream it stop the itching that drives me crazy I wash it every morning to stop the scabs building up I'm going to the hospital tomorrow dermatology will be looking at it

    1. I've got to wait for the other doctor to come back and decide what else I can have the doctor did say he thinks I have more bowing under skin than what is showing that's why I've been itching so much I do dred going back on the cream but will have wait and see thanks for your concern

    2. Thank you for the update! I'm sorry you don't have a clear answer yet, but I'm hoping you get some good news soon. Keep me posted! -Alexa (SkinCancer.net moderator)

    1. Sending you healing wishes for the rest of your treatment! So sorry to hear how exhausting your experience has been so far. It's a shame how taxing Efudex can be, but know you're not alone in this. Keep us posted on how you're doing! All the best, Alexa (SkinCancer.net moderator)
