New Freckle
Last week I found a greyish/purple freckle that was not there a month ago. Its roughly about 6mm in size and in a place that does not get sun. I am getting it removed and tested this week. My doctor said she is not highly concerned but because of the size and the fact that it popped up within a month she wants to test it to make sure. I am just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.

That of course does not mean yours will or will not be skin cancer. One of the frustrating things is how completely different each one can be. I can't imagine how derms understand which one might be dangerous, but luckily most of the time they do (and even if they don't know, they get it biopsied!). Hopefully we'll hear more from others, and let us know how your derm visit goes if you can!
