Worse Than I Thought

I'm a transplant recipient for almost 19 years so I go to the dermatologist on a regular basis. Went in November 2019, did a full body scan, and I was good. I found a spot on my nose in March but due to the virus I couldn't get in. Got in 6 weeks ago to find out it was basal cell. My doctor had to go in 3 times to get it all-- taking a large portion of the left side of my nose with it. It took longer for me to heal. He let me know yesterday that he can't fix or heal my scar for a full year. Very depressed. Glad the cancer is gone but it's hard looking at my nose this way.
