Efudex treatment help please

Hi I’ve been using the efudex on my forehead between my eyes and top of my nose for two weeks and two days. For a few days now I’ve been getting a very thick yellowish scabbing which weeps and then goes hard, it looks awful and I’m customer facing :(. When I’m in the shower it goes all soft and looks disgusting and kind of rubs off then I am left with very red raw sore skin. Is this normal and am I ok rubbing the scabbing off? Thank you so much I’m really worried I’m doing the wrong thing. Should I not get the scabbing wet and let it fall off naturally. Thank you so much for any responses.
