Third Biopsy Result

I had a squamous cell on my back. I’ve had it cut on twice. I got a call from my dermatologist today with the third biopsy result. It’s still all squamous cell. So I go in on Feb 12th for Mohs surgery. Hate not knowing how much they will take. I’ve had Mohs before on 3 different cancers-- not pretty.

@brenda...I am so sorry you are dealing with these recurring biopsies and squamous cell diagnoses. I know you are frustrated and exhausted with it all. I am definitely keeping you in my thoughts as you head into this next surgery. I know it's difficult going into Mohs and not knowing exactly what's in store.  This squamous cell kind of scares me none of my others hurt, this one burned and hurt on top of skin so bad it hurt to even touch, and it seemed to hurt deep in side me , know that sounds weird, but sense it’s so different. I’m more worried about it, sense it’s so close to spine , I have bad thoughts about them not able to get it all. I know it’s just probably because I’m having to wait for surgery , too much time to think. But thank you . I will let you know after surgery

You are taking action to get rid of the squamous cells. One day at a time Remember we are here for you. Yes, please let us know how you are doing after the surgery. @brenda...I am so sorry you are dealing with recurring biopsies and squamous cell diagnoses. Your frustration is completely understandable. Mohs is a great thing, but I am with you--not knowing exactly what is in store can cause anxiety as you head into surgery. I know you have been through this multiple times, but I am including an article by Renee.  I read the article ,it did help I forgot about taking something to eat. And my I pad so I could read.

 <inline-mention user-id="2101481" username="brenda"/> I hope you are well. I wanted to chime in here and say that I hope your Mohs surgery goes well. I'm glad my article helped. I do suggest bringing something to eat and drink. At my second Mohs, they offered me a granola bar, but I was happy to have the snacks I brought with me (since I was there for a while). And bringing something to read/your IPAd is helpful as you wait for them to get your lab results -- anything to help pass the time, and to distract you! Please let us know how your Mohs surgery goes.
