Bowels Disease

Does anyone have an information about Bowens Disease caused byinjesting amount of arsenic

  1. Hi . I see you are new here. Welcome to the community! We are not medical experts, but, from what I have read, arsenic-related Bowens disease is thought to be related to long-term exposure. Have you been diagnosed with Bowen's disease? If so, were you exposed to arsenic over long periods? What has your doctor said? I hope you get some responses from others in the community. It can be hard to determine what caused an individual's Bowen's disease because there are many potential causes. Thinking of you and wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. It is my husband. He was treated for his acute asthma by a pharmacist in the late 1950 to 1970 with an Arsnic medicine that this Brisbane Greenslope pharmacist made . We are wanting to know of anyone else who might have been treated by Mr Bell with the same asthma medicine.

      1. Oh, wow! It's scary to think that a doctor gave him that., but the use of arsenic as medicine was once common. Many doctors used it to treat asthma in the 1950s and 1960s. Does his current doctor think his Bowen's disease is related? I hope you get some answers soon. - Lori (Team Member)

    2. Yes it is . Do you have any info or maybe other reader who have relevant helpful information

      1. Unfortunately, we have no information about arsenic-related Bowen's disease. I hope, over time, you will get responses from others in the community who are familiar with it. I wish I could be of more help. - Lori (Team Member)
