Deep wide excision bleeding
Had an unknown skin cancer excised but CAT scan showed it needed a wider and deeper excision down to the fascia. They sutured inside and outside. Its been three days and changing bandage every day but the bandage shows that some blood is coming through the bandage. Is this dangerous?
Sorry, I know it is now to late, and the situation has most likely resolved. But after 3 days, it would not be abnormal. Up to 5 days is about right, but depending on the location and the severity of the surgery it it not uncommon to drain even longer.
What is more concerning is the amount of drainage and whether it is slowing.
