Do you skip days of applying sunscreen? If so, why and when?

As I sit here in my dark room. It is nearly 9:00am and raining outside. The last think I am thinking about is applying sunscreen. What say you?

  1. I do not. For me, it’s a part of my daily preparation—like brushing my teeth.

    1. I have to brush my teeth, too. 😀

  2. I seldom apply sunscreen, because... I rarely go out in the sun, at all. It's pretty easy to adhere to this spartan regime here in NW Washington. But, of course, I slather up faithfully on those odd occasions I do go out (unlike the indiscretions of my "stoopid" youth).

    1. Are you saying that it is overcast in NW Washington? Scott skincancer.net moderator

  3. Yeah, it's overcast a lot (folks around here relish our "sun-breaks"😉... But that's absolutely not good enough, and perhaps even more dangerous than more obvious full sun days. But the nearly constant cool-to-cold "drear" delightfully discourages most desire to go outdoors except fully covered head-to-toe. Plus, it helps that I hate hot weather, so I mostly stay indoors throughout our brief summers. @scottmatheny

    1. I agree, . Overcast days can be deceiving when it comes to skin protection, which is why it's so important everyone is aware that protecting ourselves from the sun is a yearlong job. Hope you're doing well! All the best, Alexa (SkinCancer.net moderator)
