I have been prescribed this cream by a doctor for AK on my chest. Haven't had any information from the doctor apart from use it for 4 to 6 weeks until its better!! Not sure how to know when it's better to be honest. My chest is red and itching now and the cream has brought out a the damaged cells I think.
Please call your doctor and tell them you need more specific direction....I had to use it on my face, and I was told to apply the cream to the area daily until it started to bleed, and then stop. It is not a comfortable process, but it does work. I have done this twice now, once on my lip line (that was scary but healed perfectly) and once on the bridge of my nose. Hopefully your problem is in an area that won't be rubbed by your clothing as it heals. All the best to you and getting rid of the AK!
thank you for your response. I went to my doctor yesterday and all he said was to use the cream every day for 4 to 6 weeks. The only info I get is from the amazing website.

if you have sensitive skin (I do, I'm an old redhead...lol), the cream can make your skin sensitive (feel like it's burning) awhile it's being used but I've had no lasting effects. And thank GOD it works!! I'm an old redhead as well!! It does feel like burning and itching but at night it feels like I have ants under my skin . I am also having terrible sweats but going to bed I a wet towel helps. At least I haven't gotten to ho.
What the Derm.’s don’t tell you is everyone’s reaction is different. I encourage you to follow the treatment thru and seek the Derm.’s help if you have too much pain. I pulled much info online to see different reactions. Efudex is a serious med.
