Does Efudex treatment lower your immunity?

I work in a busy pharmacy within a large store. I am concerned that I may be more vulnerable to the Coronavirus during this time. I am a carer for my husband who has a damaged respiratory system due to a spinal cord injury at C4 and who is also wheelchair bound and of pensionable age. I don't want to pass the virus along to him. Should I self-isolate?

  1. Hi ! We appreciate and thank you for being on the front line of defense during this pandemic. These times are very frightening, so it is important to take precautionary measures especially when living with someone that has a damaged respiratory system. Those with respiratory complications could potentially be considered "high risk" for the virus, according to the CDC (link below). We are not healthcare professionals, so we're unable to give any medical advice. This question would be best answered by a physician. However, we do have articles related to COVID-19:

Along with these articles, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) came out with an article of who is at high risk for COVID-19 and it does state that the immunocompromised are those undergoing cancer treatment. Sending healthy wishes your way. -Sidney, SkinCancer.net Team
