Swimming in indoor pool whilst using fluorouracil on face
Hi there I am up to day 15 of fluorouracil on my face (forehead, nose and cheeks) 1 X day recommended for 2-3 weeks. Very red and blotchy and burning but no signs of ulceration as yet. I am normally a 3 X week swimmer but have not gone since day 8.
What is the recommendation for this? If not in the treatment stage at what point afterwards? I assume open areas / scabs have to be healed up.

, have you been able to reach out to your doctor about returning to swimming? I would think the concern would be with possible infection. Your doctor would be best able to advise you when it would be safe for you to return. I hope your treatment is going well. All my best, Julie (team member)
