Mohs procedure on foehead

Two days ago I had procedure done. Reconstruction will be Monday. I have a pretty big hole in my forehead. Was just wondering if anyone can give me insight on what to expect.it is the size of a quarter and deep

  1. Hi . It's hard for us to say for sure since we're not medical experts, but I have a friend who is on her second plastic surgery for a hole on the side of her nose from skin cancer surgery. She was worried after the first reconstruction because it didn't seem like much progress, but it really laid the foundation for the next surgery. She looks great now. I hope your reconstruction is equally successful. Keep us posted, if you don't mind. I'll be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. I had Mohs surgery in the area of my forehead, just above and to the right of my left temple. This was about 5 years ago. I was astounded at the size of the area removed. Maybe an inch by a little more than an inch. An expletive was my reaction when the surgeon handed me a mirror. He then said I had options: let it heal by itself; go to a plastic surgeon; or he could stich it up. I elected the latter, but then wondered how he was going to do that. Well he cut down to my left ear and down almost to the left of my left eye. And then he pulled! I don't know exactly what happened, but he got it done. It healed up good and all is well, though I have a facelift to the entire left side of my face, no wrinkles! And my left ear does not hold a COVID mask well. The whole thing was an ordeal. I've had too many of these ordeals. Too many surgeries. But what are you going to do?
