Mohs Surgery

I had Mohs Surgery 4 years ago and was told that I couldn't have laser treatment for 5 years. Does anyone have any experience of laser treatment after Mohs? Especially on the nose where I had it. If so how successful was it and do you have any photos of before and after? I've no idea how much it would cost and maybe after 4/5 years I've lived with my nose looking like someone butchered it so might as well stay like it as I'm mid 70's almost!

  1. Hi . I'm glad you posted this and I hope you get some good feedback. I did some light research and I didn't find anything supporting your doctor's recommendation to hold off for five years. Most seem to recommend waiting six months. However, your doctor might have perceived special circumstances that make waiting beneficial. Have you considered a second opinion?
Here is a study I found about the effectiveness of laser surgery on Moh's scars: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11015716/. I thought you might find it interesting. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)

  2. Thanks for the link, I needed a dictionary to decipher quite a bit of it but it was interesting!
    Much appreciated.
