What would you tell your teenage self?

Absolutely! I feel sickened by the things I did involving the sun. I guess I just didn’t know better back then. I feel like skin care and sun protection were not a thing. If they were, the message didn’t reach me. Very sad.
I know that I didn't know any better and I am not that my parents did either. It seemed that the tanning industry (suntan oil, swimsuits, beach vacation and recreation spots, etc) was very strong in those days. The media seemed to glamorize being tan as if you were healthier. I would definitely tell myself it’s not cool to be tan or that I don’t look better with a tan. It was the cool thing to do. Damn peer pressure.
