Chemo/radiation treatment

My wife has just had a squamous cell tumor removed from her mouth. We are now facing chemo/radiation treatments for the next 6 weeks. She is weighing whether or not to get the treatment.
She doesn’t want to go through any more pain. We are trying to find someone who has:
1. Had the treatment and can give us some insight as to the process. Or
2. Has not had the treatment.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  1. Hi . Welcome to the community! I have no experience with squamous cell tumors, so I hope others chime in here. I can understand her reluctance to have radiation though, given the location. That said, squamous cell tumors generally respond well to radiation. While you wait for responses, here is an article about this type of cancer and its treatments that might help: https://skincancer.net/treatment/treating-squamous-cell-carcinoma. Please keep us updated, if you don't mind. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
