Cherry angioma or something else?

I am 40 year old and have these on my head. I’ve had them for a few years. I have seen the doctor and she said cherry angioma, however they get itchy and tender feeling. I go back next week to have them looked at again. I didn’t think cherry angiomas caused itching? I am worried this was an incorrect diagnosis a year and a half ago!

  1. @Erin8080 I can definitely understand your worry! I think you're doing the right thing by having your dermatologist take a second look. Please let us know how your appointment goes, we'll be thinking of you. -Julie (team member)

    1. I agree that a second look is a good thing. I will add that if you are not satisfied with your current physician, you may want to consider another opinion from a different doctor. Scott skincancer.net team member

      1. ...I have several cherry angiomas and your picture looks very similar to mine. Like you said, mine typically do not itch. I think it's wise to get them checked out just to be safe--you are doing the right thing by being proactive.
