Effect of stopping use of efudix after 5 days

After a bad and v painful reaction to edifix ( which sounds though reading here , not to be unusual) I was advised to stop treatment after just 5 days . Does anyone know what will now happen to all the ( v angry and noticeable) red marks that i now have all over my face ? Will they disappear even though they’ve not been fully treated ? I had three patches but the cream has brought up lots more . Is there anything I can do to stop the pain and accelerate healing?

  1. I am so sorry you are dealing with the side effects of this cream. I know how frustrating it can be. I have never stopped that early into treatment, but my guess is that the red patches will fade over the next few weeks. From my experience, the healing phase ( when you stop applying cream) is the most difficult. You will likely go through 3-5 days with your skin tightening and feeling dry and itchy. During the healing phase, I keep my skin moisturized and use cold packs when needed.

I am including a couple of articles that may help you over the coming weeks.
