How has a skin cancer diagnosis affected your work life?

While many of us work inside especially over the past year, many of us have to work outside in the sun. Some of us work primarily outside. My job often requires me to spend days/hours in direct summer sunlight and sometimes I cannot wear even a hat. What about you? How do you manage your sun exposure when you work?

  1. I keep sunscreen at school on my desk. On days it is warm enough and not rainy, we use the playground. Thirty minutes outside doesn't sound like much, but it adds up especially when we are in direct sunlight the majority of that time. In addition to the sunscreen I use in my makeup routine, I lather up about 15 minutes before I take my class outdoors. April, SkinCancer.net, Moderator

    1. Thank you for replying to my forum. Thirty minutes in direct sunlight feels like an eternity for me, especially if I am not protected. I feel like I start being affected by the sun in ten minutes. Scott skincancer.net moderator
