Is this a sign of skin cancer?
Hi everyone today I suddenly spotted a dark mark that looks like a birthmark but I failed to recall I had one in my thighs.
Its a black spot and the surface is smooth like other part of my skin. I am attaching a picture, can anyone help me out? Should i get a doctor to look at it?
...it sounds like you are already ahead of the game by doing self-checks, and that is great. While we aren't doctors and cannot diagnose, we can share advice based on our own experiences. If this is a spot that seems new to you, it would be worth having a dermatologist check it out. There are different types of skin cancer with many different signs and symptoms. A dermatologist is your best bet--they will be able to tell you more and may even suggest a biopsy.
