Melanoma on my scalp

I was diagnosed a week ago with a melanoma on my scalp. It was discovered by my hairdresser. I had a biopsy and it came back a Melanoma. I am having MOHS surgery on September 21st at Duke. I am scared and worried. Can anyone tell me what it was like for you and what I can expect after the surgery? Thanks, Debbie
