Mohn cancer surgery on face near your eye

I just had Mohn surgery on my face below my right eye. The sticthes were take out 2 days ago. Below my eye is swollen plus I am red and blue. My question is how long will I look like this and is there any treatment to prevent scarring?

    1. ...Hi there! I am so sorry to hear about your recent surgery. While I haven't had surgery that close to my eyes, I can say that I have experienced bruising and swelling following each of my excision and Mohs surgeries. It usually takes a day or so for the swelling to subside and, for me, a week or more for the bruising to fade.

I know it seems like your scar will be prominent and noticeable, but I think you will be surprised by how well it will heal. I have seen many people's after-surgery photos compared to photos months down the road. It's always amazing to see how well they heal.

I am wishing you all the best as you continue to heal! Don't hesitate to reach out to us any time! We are here for you.
