Thank you Julie, that's very helpful. I actually finished the tube of Efudix and 4 weeks treatment last weekend, and must be one of the fortunate people who don't have such a severe reaction. I had horrible itching during the treatment, but now seem to be healing quickly after the first 2 days. I've been applying a light coat of Sorbolene and find it doesn't sting at all, just feels soothing.
As you mentioned, there often isn't much information given by prescribing clinicians, and this website is a wonderful source of help from people who know from experience what you expect. Keep up the great work you're doing!

Thank you Julie. Saw my doctor today and she was very happy with results. I told her about skincancer. net and that I'd seen a post about a cream that can be applied once a day for 2 weeks prior to using Efudix, which cuts down treatment time. She hasn't heard of it, so I said I'd try to find out what it is. I actually met a lady in a carpark last week who said she was using a cream on her arms for 2 weeks prior to starting Efudix, so it must be the same. Would you know what it's called please?
