Skin Checks

When was the last time you checked your own skin for possible skin cancer?

  1. I look, but I have no idea what to look for. I have had skin cancer twice, and both times I had no idea. The second time, the doctor said didn’t you see that mole? Yes, I saw it, but I’m not trained to see the distinctions between normal and abnormal. I have read the basic guidelines for detecting skin cancer, but I’m not sure it would be of much assistance to me. If I see changes, I would be alerted. Otherwise, not so sure.

    1. I completely understand! Checking your own skin can be overwhelming. I am sharing an article with you that explains what to watch for when examining your own skin.
