I only apply sunscreen if I am going out in the sun. I haven’t found any sunscreen that I love. They all feel so sticky or make my skin feel like it’s suffocating.

it's so much easier to find your comfort level when you find a great brand with a consistency you can tolerate. There's definitely a learning curve to the process. April, SkinCancer.net, Moderator

Honestly, I cannot really tell how effective sunscreen is unless I get burned, but I do know if it burns my eyes or feels chalky or is burdensome in any way. I guess that I trust the brand that it is really protecting me at the level that it says. So, in that case, brand is really important to me. Scott skincancer.net moderator

I like to apply Neutrogena Healthy Skin facial lotion with sunscreen. It is only SPF 15 and you must apply to recommended amount to get that protection. I use this inside as a moisturizing lotion. The current recommendation of at least an SPF30 would require a different product. I personally like Neutrogena products as they don't irritate my skin or burn my eyes, but each product may have a different effect on each person. Hope this helps. Scott skincancer.net team member
