Some months ago I posted about my use of a botanical and heat to achieve remission of a lesion on my right ear. This lesion was quite obviously cancer. I am an MD with a history of several basal cells and one melanoma many years ago. Like many others, I am tired of biopsies and cutting.
after 18 months, I did have a small recurrence. I have related on this site the solid data and many reports of non-melanoma lesions treated with an extract of the common eggplant- Solanum. It is pricey and works slowly and can take several weeks, but at this point I have no symptoms and there is nothing to see on the surface. It can be argued that the lesion will recur, but that misses the point. If I can keep the area clear, why do I care if some hidden cells remain? Lately, I have developed in the past few weeks on my forearm. I had been reading the reports of using an extract of milkweed- Euphorbia for keratoses and non-melanoma cancers. There is a prescription form containing ingenol mebutate, which is thought to be the effective fraction. Plain untampered with extract is less expensive. I decided to try it. After about a week the lesion is virtually gone. Ample case reports and data to support these can be found on line. It is time for the dermatologists to realize how very much they are out of step with these treatments that will empower patients and lead to considerably less suffering and expense. They need to at least consider " the handwriting on the wall". Treatment of these lesions is changing forever.
