What are your victories?

Small or large, what is your skin cancer victory? For me, 3 skin exams back, I did not have any biopsies. I’m still holding onto that victory!! How about you?

  1. Congrats on no biopsies! That is a BIG deal. I also have had two checkups in a row with no biopsies.

    1. Many thanks. And congratulations to you!!! Rock on with two skin exams-in a row-without a biopsy!! Go you! That is a huge victory. Proud of you.

  2. Thank you I appreciate that.

    1. Of course! And I mean it. 😊

      1. I have constants SCC, I have scars from head to toe, several Mohs, even 2 on my eyelid.. my dermatologist wants me to try a new medication…$12,000… I don’t think so, so I’ll continue to be a Guinea pig… ugh… I’ve had Mohs surgery on 1/2 of my nose , anyone or there that has any ideas!?? I am a transplant recipient….

        1. Wow... $12,000 for a new medication is absurd! I'm so sorry that you have not been provided with more accessible care. I hope others can chime in with their experiences with SCC treatment, but I did want to share with you a link to our SCC treatment page: https://skincancer.net/treatment/treating-squamous-cell-carcinoma. May I ask if you've considered getting a second opinion from another dermatologist? They may be able to help you find the best treatment plan for you. I hope this helps, please keep me posted on how you're doing! All the best, Alexa (SkinCancer.net moderator)
