I go every year now unless I see something that requires earlier attention.

I am on a 3-month regimen. Perhaps it will be spread out a bit, but that’s where I am now.

I hear that. I am starting with a new dermatologist in August, so I’m sure I’ll be especially stressed. Fingers crossed he is very nice and has good bedside manner. I’m gonna look at this like an interview. If it works out, great. If not, there are other options for sure.

I like that perspective, thinking of it like an interview. After all we are THEIR patients. Scott skincancer.net moderator

My normal routine is every 6 mo, unless something new crops up. I’m diagnosed with Bowen’s disease but regularly have bouts with Basil, Squamous cell, and a few oddballs thrown in the mix. A good visit is less than two biopsies.

Thank you for your reply. I remember how my first biopsy was so traumatic. Now, having just one feels like a victory. Scott skincancer.net moderator
