When you walk by people laying out in the sun, how does it make you feel? What thoughts come to mind?

Having skin cancer can change one's thinking about personal life choices. How does it affect your thoughts of others' choices?

  1. It really makes me mad and sad that they don’t know any better. When I was younger we didn’t know better. Now I’d like to think the word is out about skin cancer and sun damage, but you know the saying you can lead a horse to water, but can’t make him drink.

    1. Well, that’s right. It’s amazing how much use we have gotten out of that saying. Scott skincancer.net moderator

  2. Does that mean that saying ages me? LOL

    1. not at all! Lol! April, SkinCancer.net, Moderator

  3. ...I will be honest...I have two feelings that come to mind at once. I am angry that there is so much information out there and people still choose overexposure. I am also jealous. Yes. I said it. There was a time when I loved nothing more than time in the sun...tanning. With all the knowledge and experience I have with skin cancer, I still miss the feeling of tanning. It's an addiction without a doubt. April, SkinCancer.net, Moderator

    1. I appreciate the honesty. I think having a certain look was compelling back when I tanned. I can understand why others still do it. Scott skincancer.net moderator

  4. It makes me worried for them. I know what I have been through. I would never want someone else to have to travel that road.

    1. it certainly is very worrisome. I’m concerned that people are still exposing themselves to both the physical but also the mental consequences of skin cancer. It’s not fun. Scott skincancer.net moderator
