Should I cut my hair for surgery?

I haven't had basal on my scalp, but have known a few people who have. I don't think I would cut my hair prior to surgery. I think I'd wait it out and see how much shaving they will need to do and maybe after surgery cut it if I felt awkward. Definitely don't cut it! I had one on the top of my head and they shaved a little piece around it. If they cut more and you want to even it out, you can decide later. Or leave it different lengths and people will think you're making a fashion statement.
