What are nonsurgical options for basal cell on face/lip?

Hi, my father has had a BCC on face for almost 15 years which was not progressive until lately that is advanced towards the lip and created an opening. Now when he eats or drinks it drips outside. He is even getting watery mouth that is continuously coming out. Are there any non surgical options??

  1. , below are some answers from our Facebook community. I hope his doc has been helpful and if you feel that they're not taking appropriate action, don't hesitate to push them or get a second opinion!

"My nasal cell on my lip was burnt off. I still have a lump but it is better then letting the cancer get worse. Just find a good skin cancer specialist or a medical school near you. I am in my 70’s."

"It sounds as if he has put it off for too long. MOHS is probably his only choice now. He needs to get it taken care of immediately!"

"Not sure about lip but effudex and Aldara work on face"

"He needs to see a dermatologist ASAP. Please do not delay!"
