Losing Control

Do you ever feel like you have lost control of your life to skin cancer?

I had an appointment scheduled at MD Anderson for end of October. I was totally scheduled for hotel, etc. My life is waiting on this appointment. They called to push me out a week, and I have been spinning ever since.

  1. I made a decision to not let it control me. I had to learn to discipline my mind and fit it in its slot. It is important and it must be prepared for and considered but I cannot let it define me. I am 58 years old and I want the remainder of my life to be about what I consider to be important and not defined by disease or condition or anything else. It took time to reach this point, though. Thank you for your honesty. Scott skincancer.net moderator
