What are your tips for finding a good oncologist?

Finding a specialist in any field can sometimes be a challenge depending on the area you live in and the distance you have to travel to reach his/her office. When dealing with skin cancer, I think the best way to start the search is to ask your dermatologist or primary care physician to suggest a trusted oncologist. My first experience with an oncologist was to get a baseline exam following my melanoma diagnosis. The referral came from my dermatologist's office, and I was pleased with the experience as a whole.
