April 18, 2025.
I've used the efudex treatment 3 times in past 15 years. Its harsh, but usually leaves skin in better condition than prior to treatment.
My issue is 2022 during covid. Spring time treatment, cooler less sunny weather.
I did the same 2 week treatment 2x day. **Well we were all wearing the covid masks so it made it a bit easier to go for things like grocery shopping as mask hid the redness and scabs. **But what I was left with was redness on cheeks near nose and chin, exactly where the mask was covering. **The only thing different from previous treatments was the wearing of mask. ** It kept the heat from breathing 'enclosed' inside the mask. ** So now 3 years later I am still experiencing the redness.
Anybody have similar experience?
My reg doctor wants me to use the efudex again, but I'm hesitant cause I don't know what the result will after 2 weeks of treatment and then weeks of healing. I'm going to a new dermatologist April 22.
I look forward to your comments.
cheers, from Surrey, B.C.
