After Mohs Surgery
If you had the choice of stitches or open wound after Mohs Surgery which would you choose and why?
...I don't know many doctors who offer patients an option when it comes to closing a wound after an excision or Mohs. I have only had stitches. As difficult as some of my recoveries have been, I think I would still choose stitches if allowed to choose for myself. Looking at a wound in the day or so after a surgery, it's hard to imagine it healing properly and not leaving a terrible scar. I have been pleased, however, with the results of my surgeries. It takes time, but the scarring does seem less noticeable over the months.
