Cancer or ‘superficial growth’

Hi all,
Firstly - sorry if this isnt the correct forum for my question but I’m a bit worried. I have a small ‘spot/growth’ on my belly. It appeared 3wks ago…..I am 19yrs post Breast Cancer treatment…..today I saw my GP…..he had a look for a few seconds and said it’s fine-superficial-nothing to worry about BUT keep an eye on it.
He didn’t take a photo of it u til I was about to leave and I showed him a pic I had on my phone. He mumbled and said that if it was ‘wet’ he may be concerned but as it’s ‘dry’ he isn’t concerned.
I can’t help but still be worried……am I being melodramatic? 3wks after appearing as a small red blood blister type spot

  1. I’m glad you reached out. For your safety, we aren’t able to offer medical advice or diagnosis. Being worried about a new or changing spot is a very valid concern. If you’re still feeling uneasy, I would encourage you to get a second opinion from a dermatologist. Hopefully they will confirm your GP’s opinion, and put your mind at ease. Skin cancer can take on so many different forms, it’s helpful to get another set of eyes on any worrisome spots. Please let us know how you’re doing and if we can help in any way. All my best, Julie (team member)
