Hi. It's been a while since I was on here. Quick summary: I'm a 65 y.o. man who's had a lot of Australian sun in his time. I've treated nearly all of my body except my back and lower legs with the F+C combo. Some areas I've done twice (face and arms), some areas for quite a long time (ears for 7 weeks!). The results, although challenging as most of you know, have been really good.
After quite a long break - about 4 years - I'm looking to retreat my scalp and face, and probably lower legs.
One of the struggles with treatment - again, as most of you know - is the thickness of the cream/ointment combo especially when you get to the final few days. Ouch!
So, this time, instead of mixing the two together in batches myself, I thought I'd explore the Compounding Pharmacy option.
So I visited one and explained what I was doing and what the options were and they said they can mix the two active ingredients together into a light lotion, of similar consistency to a liquid soap or shampoo. This sounds fantastic to me. It would take far less effort to apply, and be much less painful as the reaction kicks in.
I’m wondering if anyone has gone down this or a similar path? (I even wonder if it would be possible to get a sprayable liquid compounded up, but maybe that’s going too far.)
Anyway, I’d love to hear peoples’ experience in the compounding area.
