Possible recurrence after 5 weeks

I just had Moh’s surgery 5 weeks ago on my nose, and now I have a lump under the incision line similar to the lump before my biopsy. I also have another flat raised area that is red that popped up a few days ago ( I think that one might be one of the sutures underneath). I called the place that did my Moh’s surgery and the nurse asked me to send a picture -she called back right away to set up an appointment with the doctor who did the surgery. I hope this is benign and I don’t need another biopsy. I don’t want my face to be deformed. It still doesn’t look the same from the first surgery.

  1. when is your follow up appointment? I hope everything goes well. If you’re comfortable, please keep us updated. Sending positive vibes and well wishes, Julie (team member)

    1. I cancelled my first appointment because I thought it was a stitch and decided to wait to see if the lump went away. I went back today and she did a biopsy. It would be really rare for this type of cancer to come back so fast. Now I will wait for biopsy results…

      1. I know you didn’t want to have to have another biopsy, but I’m glad you’re being proactive. We know the waiting period can be an anxious time💙 I hope everything comes back benign, I’ll keep you in my thoughts. All my best, Julie (team member)

    2. The lesion was benign that grew back on my nose.

I just had another biopsy with a 6 month skin check that is positive for SCC but it’s not on my face. I’m not worried about a scar on this one, it’s on my upper back. The only worry that I have is how quickly it will grow before being removed. My last SCC grew really fast (doubled in size every week) and it’s scheduled for March.

      1. Hi . I'm glad to hear the lump on your nose is benign, but I wish you didn't have to go through this again on your back. March does see a long ways away. If it grows quickly and you are concerned, I would reach out to your doctor again and ask for an appointment to re-evaluate. Maybe they could at least put you on a cancelation list. Please update us if you don't mind. You will be in our thoughts. - Lori (Team Member)
