skin cancer on face and chest

I started with Efudex on Dec 23/25 on my cheeks. I apply the cream twice a day for 2-3 weeks. I applied it for 3 weeks. I am now into recovery period. So I have now started on January 17/26 applying Efudex cream to my upper chest. Well my chest is showing a way more reaction than my cheeks did. What I am wondering is just how long will my cheeks stay this rosy red color? I know we all are different and the healing time will vary but I think we will all be within a few days of each other.
Look forward to hearing from you.

  1. Hi . Hopefully you'll get more feedback here in the forums. How are you feeling? Are you in much pain? - Lori (Team Member)

  2. Hi Lori, no I am not in much pain. The itch is the worse. I talked to my pharmcist yesterday and I am taking Benadyrl daytime and nighttime to help manage the itch. But I am half way there. Only another couple of weeks to go and then on to recovery.

  3. Thank you Lori, I sure appreciate your vibes. Do you know anyone who has done this also. I am trying to touch base with someone who has so I know what the results are when cheeks start to heal.

    1. Hi . wrote a wonderful article about efudex treatment on the chest and how it differs from treatment on other parts of the body. Here is a link: https://skincancer.net/life-with-skin-cancer/efudex-chest. She is a veteran of efudex treatment and has written lots of articles about every stage. Here is a link to all of her articles: https://skincancer.net/author/apulliam2000. I hope this helps. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)
