Morphoeic BCC

Recently had Mohs surgery on scalp for Morphoeic BCC which was biopsied prior and thought to be a Seb K, therefore looked nothing like the pictures in the literature. I had the biopsy but a week later it was back when sutures out. My plastic surgeon shocked when results came in so had Mohs a couple months later and it had grown more, I so hope it doesn't recu as only one layer taken so assume biopsy got it all but why did it come back. Confusing. Had Melanoma 18 months ago and multiple BCC one on face infilrating so badly scarred from excision, one near eye, The rest had PDT, also lots of AK's too. Unreal so many, scary.

  1. Hi . How scary for you. Morphoeic BCC is an aggressive form of skin cancer, so maybe the surgeon didn't remove enough skin the first time around. Hopefully, the surgeon removed a more far-reaching area the second time and got it all. I hope this is it and that you don't have any more occurrences of skin cancer. Keep us posted. I'll be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)
